Dear colleagues, clients, and partners!
In Russia, Medical Worker's Day is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of June. In 2026, it falls on the 21st.
This professional holiday originated back in Soviet times: the Decree on Public Holidays and Memorial Days, with minor amendments, remains in force in Russia to this day. The tradition has also been preserved in most of the former Soviet republics – Belarus, Armenia, and Kazakhstan, where Medical Worker's Day also falls on the third Sunday of June.
Since 2001, on the eve of Medical Worker's Day, Russia's best doctors have been awarded the "Призвание" Prize for outstanding achievements in healthcare. In 2025, in the category "For Performing a Unique Operation That Saved a Human Life," a team of doctors led by Professor Mark Kurtser was recognized. The specialists performed Russia's first successful fetal cardiac surgery for critical aortic valve stenosis.
Such achievements highlight how crucial the advancement of medical science, the professionalism of specialists, and modern technological solutions truly are. PanEco supports the continued development of this field, on which people's health and quality of life directly depend. We are following the results of this year's prize and look forward to seeing which of the many achievements of 2026 will become a landmark one.
On this day, we congratulate not only doctors, nurses, and paramedics, but everyone who keeps the healthcare system running smoothly. Thank you for your work!
