IMDM medium, with glutamine
Iscove's modified Dulbecco's Medium, is a mixture of inorganic salts, amino acids, vitamins, glucose and phenolic red dissolved in purified water, sterilized through filters with pore size of 0.1 microns. It is a modification of DMEM medium, contains sodium selenite, a large amount of amino acids, vitamins and sodium bicarbonate. The medium conteins 25 mmol of HEPES and has a high buffer capacity.
IMDM Medium is used to support murine B lymphocytes, hemopoietic tissue from bone marrow, B cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, T lymphocytes and a variety of hybrid cells.

This product is intended for research purposes.
- Appearance: clear, red-orange solution, without opalescence and sediment.
- pH: 7.0 to 7.4
- Osmolarity: 290±20 mOsm/kg
- Buffer capacity: at least 8.0 ml
PURPOSE: is used for culture of lymphocytes, bone marrow and hybridoma cells.
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: Ready to use. Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
HOW SUPPLIED: in sterile plastic bottle of 450 ml.
SHELF LIFE: 1 year.
STORAGE: +2 to +8 °C in a place protected from light.
RECOMMENDED USE:
- Do not use the product after its expiry date.
- Use gloves, mask and clothes adapted to the manipulation of the product to avoid contamination.
- Manipulate the product in aseptic conditions.
- Supplements such as antibiotics or L-Glutamine should be added as sterile supplements to the ready medium.
- Medium should be clear and free of opalescence and sediment.
